1. atleast once , Gartlett, Yarran, Betts all up and about in the forward line at once.

2. mcLean at the bottom of every pack feeding it out to the likes of Juddy.

3. the media not referring to Hendo as Fevs replacement

4. someone new up forward, eg Thornton or Austin

5 . looking forward to seeing how walker will go with a full preseason for once, no excuses this year, time to deliver.

6 . some forward line flashes of brillance from yarran.

7. Austin getting a regular game now he is even bigger than last year, allowing some Waite flexibility and gibbs becomming our new general at hbf.

8. Kreuzer becomming the best mobile big man in the comp, we know its only time.

9 warnock making a debut, god knows we need him, he is like the forgotten recruit

10 Judd holding up the cup in september

Like them all, add to the list

Jordan Russell becoming a pack crashing, bull horned defender aka Andrew McKay

Walker playing up forward more

Gibbs stepping into the elite midfielder group

The Tant playing consistantly enough to be a regular player - we need a maniac on the field.

Fev marking on the siren while one point down to us and then kicking it out on the full

Dumping Coll/Ess/Bris out of the finals

- AJ punching Milne in the face purley because it's Milne
- McLean top 3 in the B&F
- Robinson to become a nutcase on-field as well as off
- Jammo keeping Fev goalless
- Realising we're a much better team without Fev
- Winning 8 in a row on the way to the finals
- #17

We can only dream.

In no real order - just as I think of 'em;

1 - Warnock to finally cross the white line.

2 - Warnock to play more than 15 games

3 - Warnock to justify all the picks we gave up

4 - Walker to play all games this year

5 - Yarran to play all games this year

6 - ROK to make his debut

7 - Casboult to burst onto the scene and become a nightmare for all other clubs

8 - Robbo to play all games

9 - Carlos to play on Fev. An absolute perfect match. Carlos would drive the flower insane and put him right off his game.

10 - 22 committed players run out in every game and play like a champion team.

Why is everyone so hooked up on Walker stepping up this year? I saw what to expect from him at the business end of last year. He sh*t his pants under the extra pressure and started turning the ball over at crucial moments.
I just hope to see him put in a solid consistant year this year and help us get to the finals. Thats all my expectations, nothing more.
I saw the ones who can hold their nerve and were willing to die for us in the finals and Walker was'nt one of them.

Having said that im not expecting huge things from tex. im waiting for armfeild to grow up and be a man the effort of him chasing that ball out of Brisbanes forward line until he had control of it was incredible.

i like this kid

Excellent observation Happy. It's not always about what number you were picked at or how skillful you are under moderate pressure.
It's all about what you do when the heat is really turned up. Watch the highlights of the R22 Adelaide game again and you can actually see some of our players fold half way through that game because of the relentless pressure applied by Adelaide.

Walker had barely played for 2 years and was coming off massive shoulder surgery, he came back, ran hard, smashed packs, kicked a few goals while being heavily underdone.

If he can't hold a position in the side this season you can berate him all you want but I don't understand the hate. The kid has had a horrible run with injuries, stayed determined and fit the whole time and now deserves the support of everyone around the club.

I've never known an AFL player that cops so much shit from his own fans because of injuries.

I certainly hope your not trying to suggest that I don't like Andrew Walker, or even "hate" him?

I am a big fan of Andrew Walker and always have been, I am just clearer these days of what to expect from him.

Your excuses for his turnovers are weak, he would not have played in those two high pressure games if he wasn't 100% ready to go, you hear the coaches say that all the time.
Every player in the AFL carrys injuries towards the end of the year, thats no excuse for hearing footsteps.
I'm hoping for an injury free solid season from Walks but not expecting him to turn the AFL on it's ear.

I don't think he will ever become an elite player of the game like some of you may still be hoping for.

What I would like to see, is this side:

Joseph Jamison Thornton
Russell Bower Grigg
Gibbs McLean Simpson
Walker O'hAilpin Waite
Kruezer Henderson Betts
Warnock Judd Murphy
Scotland Carrazzo Hadley Houlihan

play atleast 22 out of 25 games together!

ps. Juddy is going to miss 3 Laughing

I never even mentioned anything about turnovers re : Walker.

He does turn the ball over a bit much, but I feel that he shouldn't be playing off half back, or even the wing, where disposal is paramount. I think we've been playing him in the wrong positions ever since we drafted him.
Personally, I think he could be a fantastic leadup forward, where disposal is not one the main aspects of your game. He has pace, can take a mark, and lock the ball in once it hits the deck - great attributes for a half forward. Yet he's rarely been played there.

Its a big year for walker, the first time he could go into the season with a decent preseason and body.

No doubt he is important to us and could have a big year. His goal kicking is extremely ordinary, otherwise he'd be handy on hff, but i like him as a run with option , he is prob our best athelte at the club and amazing endurance that should be utilised.
